Oracle Database Engineer
(National Capital Reg – Pasig City)

Responsibilities:

* The EMEA Database Engineer is responsible for the monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, and investigating on all Database Systems / products located throughout EMEA, in order to meet operational and client requirements.

* The EMEA Database Engineer will work within the EMEA Data Systems team reporting to the EMEA Database Manager and will be responsible for three key areas:

* *Providing remote 2nd and 3rd line database technical support and assistance for internal and external customers at all Sitel sites, resolving trouble tickets as assigned by the EMEA Service Desk.

* *Providing proactive monitoring / configurations support to maintain the EMEA Databases in a standard, stable operating condition.

* *Working with the Development Team to provide support for designing, configuring and implementing the EMEA Database environment.

Requirements:

* Candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s in any Information Technology related field.

* Candidate must have strong knowledge in Oracle Database Administration including: software installations and patching, database creation, upgrading, monitoring, performance tuning, space management, and back-up and recovery options.

* Candidate must have 4 to 6 years of practical, hands-on experience in the Information Systems industry with progressively increasing responsibilities.

* Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.

* Candidate must have proven ICT skills in Database field with a service oriented attitude. Prior call center experience is highly advantageous.

* Candidates with experience in ITIL environment and maintenance / support of database of at least 20GB, preferred.

* Candidates must be willing to work in Pasig and provide 24×7 availability on a rotational basis.

* Candidate must be willing to travel to UK and Europe on need basis.
* Applicants should be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status.
