Responsibilities:
The Database Engineer is responsible for the monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, and investigating on all Database Systems \ products located throughout US/EMEA, in order to meet operational and client requirements. Will be responsible in Oracle Database Administration including:Oracle software installations and patching and Oracle database creations and upgrades. Will be involved as well in Microsoft SQL Administration including SQL and PL/SQL and SQL Server software installations and patching
Requirements:
* Candidates must have proven ICT skills in the Database field with a service orientated attitude. Prior call centre experience is highly advantageous given the specialized applications that will be used.
* Should have 4-6 years of practical, hands-on experience in the Information Systems industry with progressively increasing responsibilities.
* Exposure to a variety of operating system platforms notably Windows 2k/2k3, NT 4.0,HP-UX
* Export/import utilities, ODBC Connectors, Configuration and management of hot standby databases, UNIX shell scripting
* Experience with MS Office tools including: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, Vision
* Ideally an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
* With execellent in Oral and Written Communication skills in English.
* You must be willing to provide 24×7 availability on a rotational basis.
* Must be able to be on call and perform after hours and occasional weekend support.
* Amenable to work at Ortigas, Pasig.
