Datamart Business Analyst

Responsibilities:

* Closely support the Database Manager in developing a comprehensive plan to support continued evolution and use of the Datamart.
* Perform detailed analysis to identify gaps, identify remedial actions required to ensure completeness and integrity of the data contained in the warehouse. Develop and implement controls, checks and balances to ensure integrity and completeness of ongoing data flows
* Under guidance from the Database Manager, and in coordination with Technology, complete end to end documentation including annotated data schematics which comprehensively document data capture, storage and retrieval capabilities.
* Work closely with source systems and business partners to ensure completeness and reconcilement of data flows associated with projects & initiatives.
* Review and analyze complex data, key business drivers, and trends. Ensure analysis and status reports are complete and communicated to relevant parties in a timely manner.
* Develop business intelligence and related analytics to support effective management of the Datamart and to identify growth and new business opportunities
* Assist in the design and delivery of metrics required to support business development and management reporting
* Participate / partner in various additional analytical projects
* .Act to improve work process through streamlining and automation.
* Develop and improve ability to understand key initiatives and goals of our business partners and incorporate into value added management information reporting & analysis.
* Over time, assume greater responsibility for crafting development recommendations, communications and project presentations to internal business partners.
* Exhibit a positive, enthusiastic, and collaborative attitude.

Requirements:

* Minimum Skills Required:

* 3+ years successful business analysis experience
* Strong team orientation and excellent communication skills
* Strong organizational skills, process orientation and project disciplines
* Proven analytical skills. Evidence of working with data, synthesizing information, presenting results, and creative problem solving. Strong attention to detail
* Ability to multi-task in a demanding environment with thoroughness and attention to detail
* Ability to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to be proactive, value added and to learn new tasks and skills
* Strong oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to create concise, focused work product.
* Customer focus
* Experience with relational database tools such as MS Access. Advanced capabilities using SAS, Oracle, etc would be a plus but not required. Ability to extract and join information from multiple sources using a variety of tools.
* Strong Business Objects and data mining skills in extracting data from internal and external sources
* Strong MS Office skills – Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access

* Preferred Qualifications:

* Cash Management knowledge, operational and/or systems background
* Experience in program/project management
* Familiarity with Six Sigma/CMM/PDF methodologies
* Bachelors Degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science
