Home Loan Servicing, under the umbrella of retail loan servicing, caters to more than 5 million homeowners nationwide. As of March, 2006, retail loan servicing employs approximately 4,800 staff in four sites, across the U.S. and Manila. Retail Loan Servicing includes the following functional specialties: Core Servicing (responsibility for Investor relationships, and the transaction based activities of Servicing- statements, taxes, escrow, insurance), Loan Transfer & Document Management- LTDM (responsibility for loan transfer, lien release, records management and imaging, document custody, Home Equity Servicing, and internal control), and Customer Care (responsible for the Call Centers, Research, GCC and Escalations). The Retail Loan Servicing call centers in Monroe, LA, Columbus, OH and Manila, Philippines, together answer an average of 55,000 calls per day.
Escrow Operations Specialist
(National Capital Reg)
Responsibilities:
* The Escrow Administration Specialist will support any of the Core Servicing Escrow Administration Research/Audit Departments by performing analysis of mortgagor’s accounts to verify accuracy and provide a detailed explanation of account activity to the mortgagor or vendor, and fulfill requests for account maintenance.
* GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
* Assist in departmental training of new hires
* Attend staff meetings held by department supervisors
* Assist others as needed to meet department established deadlines and to expedite customer/vendor responses
* Support the JPMorgan Chase values, Brand Promise, Sunset Policy and Diversity initiatives
* Correspond with mortgagors, and third parties when applicable according to compliance guidelines
* Provide input for revision of department policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of work
* Maintain productivity level (KPM) and quality standards established by supervisor for assigned functions
* Participate in department audits, special projects and assignments as requested by the supervisor
* Participate in inter-departmental meetings, projects and initiatives as assigned
* MAJOR FUNCTIONS IN ESCROW RESEARCH:
* Research and review customer accounts and mortgagor disputes. Determine if action is required and if needed an appropriate course of resolution
* Initiate corrective action and follow up
* Produce original correspondence to homeowners regarding their inquiry
* Perform account maintenance and fulfill customer requests for documents
* MAJOR FUNCTIONS IN PMI RESEARCH:
* Research and review customer accounts and mortgagor disputes. Determine if action is required and if needed an appropriate course of resolution

* MAJOR FUNCTIONS IN FLOOD COMPLIANCE:
* Research and review mortgagor disputes regarding flood zone changes.
* Review FEMA map changes and initiate system changes and follow up correspondence
* MAJOR FUNCTIONS IN TAX AUDIT:
* Monitor quality and timeliness of all tax related routes performed by the vendor for both Prime and Nonprime
* Review dispositioning of all refunds/return checks and provide quality scores to vendor
* Review claims submitted by vendor for liability determination on all tax penalties
* Review all data discrepancy reports to ensure that vendor systems are in sync with Chase systems
Requirements:
* At least 6 months working experience in the BPO industry.
* Preferrably worked in a financial account.
* Has worked as a customer service representative in a financial account an advantage.
* Ability to utilize computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment.
* Strong written and verbal communications skills.
* Ability to follow complex methods and procedures.
* Familiarity with standard office equipment
