Accounting Manager
(National Capital Reg – Makati City)

Responsibilities:
• Manage the day to day operations of the Business Office
• Financial Statement Preparation.
• Supervise and provide back up support for Payroll, and ensure timely & accurate payroll processing.
• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financialreporting and general ledger structure .
• Oversee the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
• Maintain internal control systems to ensure compliance.
• Manage and track assets which include fixed assets.
• Responsible for monitoring new accounting requirements and determining their impact on the company
• Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Oversee the daily banking requirements for all bank accounts.
• Ensure the monthly and quarterly Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Support budget and forecasting activities with the Corporate Controller.
• Collaborates with the other business office managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
• Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
• Responds to inquiries from the Corporate Controller, and other managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
• Work with the Corporate Controller to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
• Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to
enhance the workflow of the department.
• Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
• Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
• Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
• Support the Corporate Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.

Requirements:

* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
* Required skill(s): payroll management, financial reporting, netsuite knowledge, Financial Accounting And Analysis.
* At least 5 to7 year(s) of progressive working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Preferably with experience in payroll administration/management, tax preparation, and audit.
* Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial statements and projections with priority given to candidates formerly employed in higher education with net asset preparation experience.
* Strong knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Strong oral and written communication.
* Applicants must be willing to work in Makati City.
* Preferably Assistant Manager / Managers specializing in Finance – Corporate Finance/Investment/Merchant Banking or equivalent.
