Safety and Security Support Lead

Job Summary:

The Safety and Security Support Lead acts as the Safety Officer/ Pollution Control Officer of the Company. He/she is responsible for coordinating risk, health and safety issues/activities in a manner that satisfies local legislation, best practices and corporate policy. The Safety and Security Support Lead identifies, analyzes and oversees a budget for the safety and security initiatives. He/She is responsible for reducing the risk of personal injury to employees and also the risk of corporate damage and financial loss in accordance with Health and Safety legislation. He/she develops and coordinates the local Safety and Security approach, and procedures (including emergency and recovery plans) in accordance with company policy.

In addition, the Safety and Security Support Lead provides technical support to the Security Team. In particular, he/she is responsible for the operation of the Access Control System of the Company, making sure that all hardware and software are working properly, well- maintained, secured, and reports are generated accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with established set of parameters or rules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess safety and security risks that may affect Accenture within their assigned location or project. This process of identification and assessment is accomplished through industry knowledge, research, establishment and coordination with the Infrastructure Risk Committee and coordination with Global Asset Protection.
• Map ownership of issues to be dealt with by the responsible Project Manager of Business Unit Lead.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures using industry best practices, local laws and corporate policy. Measure and audit compliance of safety and security policies and procedures at projects and offices.
• Security of people and assets – work with legal, people matters and Global Asset Protection to implement appropriate people and physical security protection for projects and office locations.
• Emergency Planning & Business Continuity Planning –direct efforts to establish plans and keep up-to-date, by providing advice on current industry standards and direction and conducting training / testing.
• Provide advice and guidance on safety and security issues to various parts of the organization as needed. Coordinate responses with Global Asset Protection, people matters, legal and/or statutory on issues that may impact beyond scope of responsibility.
• Measure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, reduce the exposure to injury for employees and also reduce the risk of financial loss. Develop, implement and maintain Health and Safety policies and procedures to facilitate company compliance with legislation.
• Provide Health and Safety guidance regarding workstations and safety issues.

• Develop knowledge sharing across projects or locations.
• Reviews pretender and tender documents for Security and Safety Projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Post Graduate Diploma / Master’s Degree, any field.
* Required skill(s): Safety and Security.
* At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Maintenance/Repair (Facilities & Machinery) or equivalent.

Qualifications:

Education: Engineering or Military Engineering Degree, Pollution Control Officer (PCO),
OHSAS Safety Officer / Practitioner, Top university

Work Experience: minimum 3 years of safety and security experience. 2 years of demonstrated supervision in the safety and security role.

Work Requirements: Ability to work flexible hours, holidays, and respond to safety and security issues needed.
