Social Network Software Engineer
(Armm, Bicol Region, C.A.R, Cagayan Valley, Caraga, Central Luzon, Central Mindanao, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Ilocos Region, National Capital Reg, Northern Mindanao, Southern Mindanao, Southern Tagalog, Western Mindanao, Western Visayas)

Responsibilities:

* Develop high-volume traffic websites. Skillfully produce web pages, widgets, applications and other front-end components.
* Plan, layout, design and modification of: member profile, fan groups, events (similar to Facebook). Plus other ad-hoc PHP/MySQL/LAMP development and tweaking.
* Design and implement new hardware/software infrastructure solutions. Optimize existing hardware/software infrastructure.
* Modify and develop further the membership/events/dating subscription payment system, affiliate/partners pages and admin backend. Also modify the backend admin control panel.
* Rectify styling issues with CSS and troubleshoot JavaScript bugs.
* Handle ongoing maintenance of the website/s, identify bugs, improvements and complete new mini-projects for website feature additions and social network evolution.
* Manage site and data security, monitor for hack attempts and fix bugs.

Requirements:

* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree or Post Graduate Diploma / Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
* Required skill(s): LAMP, PHP, MySQL.
* Preferred skill(s): xHTML, CSS, CVS.
* Required language(s): English.
* At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Preferably Supervisor / 5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employees specializing in IT/Computer – Software or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years experience supporting high-volume consumer-facing LAMP web sites.
* Candidate must possess at least a Di ploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Di ploma, Bachelor Degree, Post Graduate Di ploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
* Required skill(s): object oriented Java Script, very high level PHP/MySQL knowledge, xHTML and CSS. Experience using and managing CVS. User interface design experience. Basic Photoshop and/or Illustrator skills.
* Desired extra skill(s): Social network creation (like Facebook) and/or dating site experience, PayPal IPN and AJAX experience. Advanced Photoshop and/or Illustrator skills to do web page layout & design. Experience with caching software like ‘memcached’. Experience optimising MySQL performance and with distributed databases, load balancers etc.
* You are a regular user of flickr, Facebook, YouTube, a dating website or some other shiny new web 2.0 service
* Must have Photoshop and Illustrator (CS2 or higher) installed on home computer.
* Must be a Senior level Web Developer with very high level PHP/MySQL competence.
* Professional demeanour and strong work ethic.
* Time-management and work prioritising skills.
* Full-Time position (Mon-Fri, 40 hours) working from home.
* Required language (read & write fluently): English.
